It was a frustrating day for our London scholars as they suffered their first defeat of the season in the ECFA Cat 1.
The boys got off to a good start and were the much stronger team. After 10 minutes they thought they took what would have been a deserved 1-0 lead only it was to be disallowed for an apparent foul in the build up play. They soon found themselves 2-0 down after 20 minutes in a complete turn of event after making 2 defensive errors and struggled to turn it around.
Things then went from bad to worse as our scholars were reduced to 10 men as Jordan Bridge seen red for dissent. Worthing Academy then capitalized on the bad luck and quickly scored back to back goals making the score 4-0 at half time.
Our scholars regrouped at half time and produced a much better second half. Chances fell to Nathan Josephs and Christen Nobraga but unfortunately we were unable to find the net. The visitors struggled to break down our boys in the second half as the full time blew on a frustrating game.
We pick ourselves up and move on.
