Akyeampong signs contract extension at Torquay

FSA PRO graduate Denzel Akyeampong has committed his future to Torquay United by signing a contract extension that will keep him at Plainmoor until the end of the season.

Akyeampong originally joined the club on a short-term deal during pre-season and quickly impressed the coaching staff with his energy, work rate and technical quality. Since then, he has gone on to make seven first team appearances, showing maturity beyond his years and becoming a reliable option for the Gulls.

For Akyeampong, this extension represents an important step in his career as he continues to establish himself in senior football. For Torquay, it is a statement of faith in a player who has already shown his ability to compete at this level and contribute to the team’s ambitions for the season.
