FSA PRO faced in today's friendly fixture local rival AFDA. It was a great opportunity for our players to show their qualities against a good opponent.
FSA PRO started with great energy and took the lead already after 2 minutes through Joe Kerrins with fantastic strike from the edge of the box. The tempo of the game was set and our team marched on to provide what turned out to be an outstanding first half performance. Another two goals from Joe Kerrins (7', 16'), a penalty goal by Aaron Nuttall (9') and an own goal turn the score into 5-0 after 16 minutes into the first half.
Continuous high press and intensity as well as precise and quick ball circulation in possession made it hard for the opponent to get a grasp of the game. FSA PRO clearly dominated the game in all facets of the game and goals of Will Woodhouse (34') and Suhaib Gunnan (40') made it 7-0 at half-time.
Our team started the second half with six changes to the line-up, however the message continued to be the same, playing at high tempo and move the ball with quality. Seven minutes into the second half the score was 8-0 with a goal from Suhaib Gunnan (52') who converted a brilliant through ball by Harry Smith.
With a huge advantage in hand, FSA PRO settled the game and control possession. AFDA tried their luck with balls behind our defence, however our defensive line stood tall and soaked up the pressure. High pressure by our team saw Joe Kerrins close down AFDA's goalkeeper and score his 4th goal of the game to make it 9-0 (65').
FSA PRO continued to create chances, however after some brilliant blocks and great saves of AFDA's goalkeeper the scored remained 9-0.
