FSA PRO - Brookhouse College, EFCA Cat 2

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

A game of two half’s, but the FSA Pro boys stood tall and showed fantastic character and determination for 90 minutes, in tuff windy conditions.

The first half FSA started on top and played some fantastic football, and managed to give themselves a 2 goal lead inside 25 minutes, thanks to a tidy finish from James March followed by the second curtesy of Yaro Phillips bombing on from left back. FSA then controlled the game for the remainder of the half, and went in 2-0 up at half time. However we knew Brookhouse College would come out strong for the second half, and that they did.

With the wind playing a vital factor in the game and Brookhouse now having it in there favour, FSA knew they would have to stand up and be counted. But all didn’t go according to plan, as Brookhouse grabbed an early goal in the second half. However FSA remained strong and where able to regain there 2 goal lead, thanks to another tidy finish from James March. But the visitors weren’t going away that easily, they had chances throughout the half and Kye Simons made two fantastic saves to deny them. Riley Davoile had a shot saved fantastically by the Brookhouse keeper, and Theo Sjoberg also went close. It was a nervy last 10 minutes for FSA. Brookhouse grabbed a goal from a corner and it was 3-2. But FSA stood strong and where able to see out the victory.

Final score: 4-3

Man of the Match: James March
