FSA Progress to the next round of the Cup.
Today FSA took on FCV Stamford International, in what was a fantastic game played by both sides. It was two teams looking to play football out from the back, and both pressing very high up the pitch. However it was FSA who started on top and that produced a 20 minute perfect Hat Trick for the number 9 Jackson Parkin, FSA where in complete control. However FCV where always looking dangerous on the counter attack, and on the half hour mark FSA gave away a penalty. 3-1 at half time!
The second half began much the same, both teams looking to play and both pressing high up the pitch. But this time it was the visitors who got an early goal, direct from a corner. FSA where on the back foot, and the next goal was crucial. Fortunately on the 60 minute mark, Jovan Singhs strike from the edge of the area was deflect in and FSA regained there 2 goal advantage. FCV however did not give up and where looking dangerous, some fantastic defending by Shay Beeby kept them out. In the 92 minute FCV where able to score once again from a set piece, which set up a tense finish to the game. But FSA stood strong and where able to see the game out winning 4-3.
