FSA PRO - FSD ACADEMY, ECFA CAT 2

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

FSA Pro take all 3 points against a well organised hard working FSD side.

FSA knew they would be in for a tough game this afternoon especially it being a local derby against FSD, but they stood up to the test after a nervy first half.

FSA came out the blocks well and controlled the game in possession, however FSD where a tough side to break down as they worked really hard and where well organised of the ball. But FSA looked to create chances at every opportunity, and it was through a Cory Holdom penalty FSA took the lead on the half hour mark, Jackson Parkin was brought down in the box, and Holdom calmly slotted the ball home. However after a FSA corner FSD broke to devastating effect and draw back level after 5 minutes of FSA taking the lead. 1-1 at half time.

FSA knew it was a big 45 minutes to come and they delivered exactly what was needed, they controlled the game throughout the half creating some clear cut chances they just wasn’t able to take them, and it was a bit of luck that brought our goal. After a Riley Davoile cross that evaded everyone the ball found its way in at the back post, and FSA took the lead. 2-1. FSA then controlled the game in a very professional way keeping hold of the ball and not allowing FSD to create any chances of their own.

We look forward to our final league game against Notts County Whites, where a win would see us clinch the league title.

Man of the match: Harry Sheffield

Final Score: 2-1
