FSA Pro put in a fantastic performance against the LCFC Thai Academy!
It was a real game of two halves for our Pro squad, as they were unfortunate to be on the wrong side of a 3-1 score line.
The first half FSA controlled the game from start to finish, they were creating chances from open play and also looking very dangerous from set pieces, hitting the cross bar twice and the post once. However FSA finally broke the dead lock on the half hour mark through Riley Davoile, when he managed to finish the ball into the bottom corner. FSA then forced some fantastic saves from the LCFC keeper through Theo Sjoberg, and the score remained 1-0 at half time, however FSA where unlucky not to take a bigger lead into the break.
In the second half LCFC came out strong, playing some fantastic football however, FSA managed to repel them for the first quarter of the half through some fantastic last ditch defending and some even better saves from John Meadows. They then hit LCFC on the counter attack and should have doubled there lead through Jackson Parkin, however once again the LCFC keeper stood tall and managed to save from point blank range. LCFC then managed to equalise and then quickly went 2-1 up through a world class finish into the top corner. FSA didn’t give up and they pushed for the equaliser coming close again through Riley Davoile and Cory Holdom, however it wasn’t to be as LCFC then broke in the last few minutes of the game and managed to go 3-1 up.
All in all it was performance to be proud of and one the Pro squad can learn some great lessons.
Final Score: 3-1
Man of the Match: Harry Sheffield
