FSA PRO London's Unbeaten Streak Continues

It was the second CAT 1 league game for FSA Pro as the travelled over to east London to take on a new side in the division Level 7 Academy.

FSA Pro London knew that to be successful they needed to start sharp and start fast and thats exactly what they did. Within 5 minutes striker Dom Fisher had managed to get into a position to be able to turn in the fumbled ball. FSA looked to continue their positive start by continuously testing the Level 7 defence. A moment against the run of play meant that the opposition managed to create a 1v1 with goalkeeper Thierri Manley, the low driven shot was saved onto the post however tapped in by a Level 7 player to bring the scores level.

FSA didn’t let this affect their focus as they pushed on with a better intensity. The contained pressure was rewarded by two more goals in the first half. The first goal scored by Kenny Mingle and the second on the stroke of half time was headed in by centre back Redor Omar after a dinked cross from Mark Soares.

The second half was dominated by FSA. Chances were created constantly with fantastic phases of play through players Mark Soares and Kenny Mingle who were winning beating their defenders and putting in crosses in the box, however these chances were not converted. The scoreline remained the same for a majority of the second half mainly thanks to the Level 7 goalkeeper who managed to pull off some fine saves including a penalty save.

FSA’s persistence came to fruition in the 83rd minute when Denzel Akyeampong drove into the oppositions box and playing a cross to substitute George Hughes who finished the ball into the corner of the net to finally get the 4th goal to secure the win.

The final minutes saw FSA continue to push on and search for another a failed clearance saw the ball fall to midfielder Tom Meredith who controlled it well and slotted the ball into the goal from 20 yards out to top off an impressive victory for FSA Pro and continue their unbeaten run in the CAT 1 league.
