FSA PRO - RUGBY TOWN FC, ECFA CAT 2

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

FSA Pro beat Rugby Town 8-0 and keep their hopes of winning the title well and truly alive.

FSA started very brightly and from the outset controlled the game with and without the ball, they moved the ball from side to side and created holes in the opposition to play through. It was Jackson Parkin who opened the scoring, after a fantastic cross field ball by Yaro Phillips to Cory Holdom, who squared the ball across goal for Jackson Parkin to slot home. 1-0. It was then Riley Davoile who doubled the lead from a fantastic free kick right into the top corner of the goal. Before long Cory Holdom slotted home from a brilliant through ball from Yaro Phillips, which allowed Holdom to slot home from close range. Then right on the stroke of half time FSA made it 4-0, again it was the man Cory Holdom who fired home from the 6 yard box.

Second half FSA came out on the front foot, and after 2 minutes a fantastic cross by Bakery Mass was headed home by Jackson Parkin. 5-0. Chris Larter then made it 6 from the penalty spot, after he was brought down in the box. The seventh closely followed by a great strike from 25 yards by Khyle Bennett, and the eighth followed as Patrick Chawner on his first team debut headed home a Harry Lloyd Rawson free kick.

It was a fantastic afternoon for FSA Pro as they get back to winning ways, just two games to go and two wins are needed for FSA to be crowned champions.

Man of the match: Harry Lloyd - Rawson
