FSA Pro Crash out the Cup.

Our Pro squad made the 500 mile round trip to Torquay this week in the last 8 of the national cup, but came away without the result they so wanted.

The wind was blowing a gale down the pitch, strongly into the faces of FSA in the first half, however they started brightly with a couple of crosses being well defended by the Torquay back line. However on the 10 minute mark the skipper Jake Wormleighton went in for a tackle and came of worse and had to be carried of the pitch after a coming together with the Torquay winger, whilst FSA were down to 10 men Torquay took advantage and after a good cross into the box with the wind they made it 1 - 0. FSA then struggled to regain any organisation out of possession, and Torquay quickly went 2 - 0 up. FSA then started to get back into the game but after a good bit of play by Torquay they went 3 - 0 right on the stoke of half time.

FSA knew that the wind advantage would change in the second half and came out fighting, getting some early shots of and crosses into the box. However it was Torquay again who broke quickly and managed to get a fourth just 10 minutes into the second half. FSA then had to go for it changing formation and pushing bodies forward, they gave everything but this time it just wasn’t to be as Torquay stayed well organised and kept FSA out. The final score ended 6 - 0.

But FSA can come away with there heads held high as this is the first year our programme has been running and they have managed to reach the last 8 of the national cup, our attention will now turn to our last 3 league games winning all 3 of those will see FSA win the league and get promoted into the CAT 1 league for next year, so all is to play for in the final few weeks of the season.

Man of the match: Jovan Singh

Final Score: 6-0
