2020 is here and we hit the ground running!
Our Leicester scholars were ruthless as they look to better their quarter final defeat in last year’s competition. FSA booked their place in the last 32 with a 11-0 win against Deano’s Pro Soccer. The game was put to bed early as both Cory Holdom and Szymon Donnerstag both scored a first half brace helping FSA to a 5-0 Half Time lead. Riley Davoile did the same in the second half and FSA progressed easily.
Our CAT 2 players were in league action and took home the 3 points as they beat Brook House College 5-3. At times the boys looked a bit leggy due to a day out at St George’s Park the day before but got the job done and look to cement their place at the top of the table.
Our London scholars in 10Coaching had a difficult away trip to league leaders Worthing FC. A sloppy start and early injury to Jack Lunn was punished by the home team and the boys came in at the break 3-0 down. It was a much better performance in the second half and gave us a block to build on as the game finished 3-0 and we look forward to next weeks fixture against Portsmouth.

Our elite centres were back in action as they trained hard to burn of the Christmas chocolate and were put through their fitness drills and some high intensity ball work. Details will be out soon for some training games and showcase opportunities as we work on confirming teams and dates. Keep an eye out for what will be a fantastic experience in February Half Term.

I want to give a special shout out to our boys who took part in the FSA New Years tournament. Our U8/9s were fantastic as they took a big step up and played in a very strong U9 tournament. With FSA boasting several younger players they should be proud.
And finally, congratulations to our U11s who took home the gold for their age bracket winning the final 1-0. Well done boys!

Stay tuned for more action,
Mark Smith
