10 Coaching - Bromley 3-4 (Cat. 2)

With the first Cat 2 game here, could the 10 boys get off to a good start? The game started with a good intensity, with Bromley kicking off and an immediate press by 10, this set the tempo of the next 90 minutes.

After some sustained pressure, 10 managed to get the ball down and combine on the right hand side, after some good combination play between Kyle Scott and Jordan bridge, Nathan Josephs manages a right footed finish into the far post, 1-0.

After taking the lead, 10 had a confidence about them but this didn’t last long as Bromley managed to level the score after the ball was lost in the midfield. 10 then kicked on again and Christen Nobraga plays a deep cross in which is met by Jordan bridge who volleys in

at the back post. 2-1.

After the restart, Bromley started quickly, trying to get their second of the game but 10 manages to hold tight for a while, However after another good piece of play from Bromley, they strike level as a ball is pressed quickly and lost into the path of the striker who finishes neatly past the goal keeper. 2-2.

Bromley started to pile on the pressure and keeper Thierri Manley makes a smart save down to his left but its met by the second striker who beats our defender to tap in his second and Bromley take a 3-2 lead.

Things go from bad to worse as another misplaced pass is jumped on and taken around the keeper to make it 4-2 at half time.

The second half stated with a tactical change from 10 and we go 3-5-2. The change works well immediately and we start to dominate the game. Chances keep coming but we are yet to take one in the second half. Nathan Josephs holds off his man and sees the keeper approaching and cleverly lifts the ball over him in to the empty net finally, 3-4 and 30 minutes left to play, come on 10!

With our tales up and the momentum our way, we manage to frustrate the opposition and keep them out of our final third. With the persistent pressure we keep winning free kicks but again deliveries and decision making let us down.

Chances then started to dry up and were limited as Bromley put as many players as they could behind the ball and narrowly hold onto the win.
