150 Children Join Us For Our School Festival

With 12 school teams and 150 local school children in attendance, Fox Soccer academy hosted its first Christmas Festival of Football.

The morning saw Year 3/4 students compete in a great tournament, which was played with spirit and competition throughout. The standard was high but most importantly there was smiles on children's faces, and a perfect way for them to show off their talent and school.

The morning tournament ended in an evenly contested final going right down to the wire, however it was Church Langton who came out on top and took the trophy home beating Houghton on the Hill 1-0 and to be crowned Year 3/4 Champions.

Moving onto the afternoon, it was the Year 5/6s turn, and the temperature had turned up a notch as more schools and children arrived.

The afternoon games were competitive all ending in draws or by narrow victories. As the tournament headed into the semi finals, teams were being decided on goal difference. This time Houghton on the Hill didn’t make any mistake, and after a final which ended 0-0, they took the trophy home finally beating Parklands Primary School on penalties and being crowned Year 5/6 Champions.

Everybody at Fox Soccer Academy would like to thank all 12 schools that took part in the festival and for creating such a fun and positive learning environment. We look forward to working with you closer and supporting schools football.

Special thanks to the following schools for an amazing day,

Little Hill Primary School, Fairfield Primary School, Glenmere Primary School, Rolleston A & B Primary School, St Luke's Primary School, Houghton on the Hill Primary School, Church Langton Primary School, Parklands Primary School.
