FSA Leicester took on a strong Hartpury College side, in the ECFA Men's Cat One Programme, taking all three points in what was an impressive display.
FSA knew it would be a tough challenge facing National Champions, Hartpury College. Our boys were up for the test and they sure gave a fantastic display. The first 45 minutes were of the highest standard both on and off the ball, they moved the ball with authority and won it back with an intense counter press. It took just 6 minutes to break the deadlock through Harry Hawkins, after a fantastic cross by Taylor Blatchford. It was then made 2 after Will Warren calmly slotted into the bottom corner and got even better for Warren, as he finished of a great team goal to make it 3-0 at half time.
Although it was 3-0, the game wasn’t over and FSA had to stay on the front foot, after a slow start to the second half up stepped Harry Hawkins who made it 4-0 through, and then 5 through Sam Carroll immediately from the restart which wrapped the game up. Hartpury College didn’t give up and where competitive until the end, however on the day FSA thoroughly deserved all 3 points.
“Todays performance was a great way to end 2021, after what has been a tough year for everyone we finished it in style and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone at FSA. We now set our sights on 2022 and hopefully we can add some more trophies to our cabinet.” Head Coach - Aiden Kirby
