A Solid Point For FSA PRO Leicester In Cat One

Our CAT 1 team traveled to Tresham College this week in what is always a tough away fixture. After controlling the game, FSA came away with a point but should have come away with more as missed chances came to haunt us.

FSA started on the front foot and controlled possession however in the first half chances where at a premium. Tresham defended well and kept FSA away from their 18 yard box.

Half time came and at the break it was 0-0, a game with little chances created for either team. FSA PRO Leicester decided it was a change of shape needed as they went back to a more familiar attacking 4-3-3. This allowed them to get overloads out wide and cause the Tresham back 3 problems. This paid off in the 55th minute as Lotredge Muteera broke down the right and crossed the ball for the on rushing Josh Agbude to tap home. Finally the deadlock was broken and FSA took a deserved 1-0 lead.

FSA continued to control the game, but after giving away a soft free kick, Tresham where able to capitalise and scored at the near post making it 1-1. FSA then had numerous chances to score forcing good saves from the Tresham GK, hitting the cross bar and not capitalising on crosses across the face of goal. The clocked ticked down and at the final whistle it was feelings of points lost.

All in all it was a good point for FSA, as they look forward to more CAT 1 action next week Vs Milton Keynes College.
