Christian Fuchs is on the hunt for the next generation of Leicester stars

DO YOU KNOW AN 8-19 YEAR OLD LOOKING FOR A CAREER IN FOOTBALL?

Leicester City left-back Christian Fuchs is on the lookout for recruits at his Fox Soccer Academy in Leicester.

The Austrian International and Premier League winner set up the academy in 2016 to give children the best possible training and maybe the chance of a professional contract one day.

Fuchs is involved in the training and motivating of youngsters spending each week at the academy.

We paid Christian and head-coach Mark Smith a visit to see what the Fox Soccer Academy is all about. The coaches were clearly committed to the development of the young players and Fuchs was very involved in the training sessions.

Having operated successful academy’s in Austria and New York, Fuchs wants to give local fans the chance of a career in football.

“With Fox Soccer Academy I want to achieve exactly that: giving children the best possible training and know-how to strive for their dreams even if they have been rejected before. I find it a special motivation to personally mentor them as much as I can”

Older scholars can also study for a BTEC level 3 in Sport with the potential for additional A-Levels, an FA coaching badge and even a refereeing qualification.

The Fox Soccer Academy is quite unique in Leicester, with not many opportunities for a pathway into football and to be trained by a Premier League winner every week.

Christian is offering successful trialist’s a two-year football and education scholarship programme which includes weekly training, competitive games and a monthly academy showcase against professional clubs.

The academy runs  weekly on Monday’s 5.00pm-6.30pm at their elite training centre at Aylestone FC.

To book onto the academy applicants need to email their name, DOB, address, position and outline their playing career to mark@foxsoccer.academy or visit www.foxsoccer.academy.

The academy is a bargain at £50 a month which includes training by professional coaches, a No Fuchs Given full training kit and showcase games.

Successful students have gone on to have trials at a number of clubs including Leicester and Swansea.
