FSA Hit 5 Against Fleetwood Town FC

Over the past weeks, FSA Pro squads have been coming away from games with huge winning margins, last week in particular 35 goals were scored in just 4 games.

This is nothing against the level of opposition, this is purely down to the talent we have within the academy. We wanted to push them as much as possible, in order to do this we moved our CAT 2 squad up to play CAT 1 league games and our CAT 1 squad to test themselves against professional academies around the UK. First up on our travels we visited Fleetwood Town FC, the 300 mile round trip was well worth it as they displayed their quality and came away with the win

FSA PRO started of the dominant team, controlling the tempo of the football and limiting the oppositions time on the ball. It took 20 minutes to break the deadlock, after a great through ball, Joe Kerins pounced onto the end of it and slotted home into the bottom right corner. This was closely followed by a fantastic solo goal from Aaron Nuttall, after he broke into the Fleetwood box he finished into the top corner. FSA 2-0 up and in full control. Fleetwood slowly started to get a foot hold in the game and after some good play down their left hand side, they managed to get a goal back making it 2-1 heading into the half time break.

FSA Pro knew if they upped their levels again they would get a third goal and that is exactly what they did after just 10 minutes of the second half. Aaron Nuttall was brought down in the box and converted the penalty that followed. Joseph Opoku then got in on the act getting FSA’s fourth after another brilliant through ball and finish, but it wasn't over. The fifth goal was the one that we would remember, after some fantastic one touch combinations in the midfield third, Joseph Opoku crossed low for Harry Hawkins to tap in from 4 yards. A fantastic team goal which capped a great day for our U18 Showcase Squad and gave FSA PRO a 5-1 victory.

We look forward to getting some feedback from Fleetwood Town FC and we now set our sites on next week, as we travel to Salford City FC and Chesterfield Town.
