FSA London Score 9 In Cat Two

FSA PRO London made a familiar journey back over to Walthamstow to take on Level 7, this time in ECFA CAT 2 league action.

After a difficult draw at Kinetic, FSA PRO London was on the hunt for a dominant win. From the off, FSA played with a high intensity that caused Level 7 to make early mistakes and set the tone for the game. The first goal was scored by Kenny Bellamingle 10 minutes into the game, a well struck free kick forcing a save from the home sides keeper fell to Kenny who finished the rebound with a pass into the bottom corner. It was another 5 minutes before level 7s defences were breached by Bellamingle again, this time arriving in the box after beating a man before slotting the ball inept the far post. The goals kept coming only a minute in-between the last, Mark Soares cutting in from the right-hand side and hitting a thunderbolt from 25 yards into the top corner! After conceding three in such quick succession Level 7 increased their efforts defending and made it difficult for the away team to break them down. Another couple of close attempts but Level 7 held firm for another half an hour before Jonathan Sentamu won back possession high and struck the ball from the edge of the box past the goalkeeper before he could react. Scoring goals back to back seem to be the order of the day with Blessing Hombessa scoring his first goal for FSA PRO only a minute after. Sentamu was the reason for more celebrations as on the stroke of half time scored his second of the day, this time using the opposition to hide his attempt and curl it into the far post to take FSA PRO into half time with a 6 goal lead.

Level 7 made some changes during half time to give them a more attacking style of play, The new additions made an impact but didn’t look like scoring. Michell for FSA PRO also made changes during the half time break brining on 4 new players. It was the FSA PRO substitutions that had the biggest impact as Akyeampong who scored twice on his last visit scored again in the 52nd minute with a header at the back post rising high above his marker to nod the ball home. The level 7 players didn’t shy away and looked to find success of their own. A dangerous counterattack slowed down by Harvey Milton and Tom Meredith meant that Level 7 had an opportunity to strike from outside the box. A fantastic effort met by a fatalistic save by FSA Goalkeeper Ciaran Rough palmed the ball over the crossbar to his right and away form a corner. FSA PRO used that as a wakeup call and pushed back. Akyeampong again being the man to finish of a lovely, reversed pass by Van Wyck across the goalkeeper into the side netting. As time ticked on FSA PRO were focused on keeping the ball and being patient that was until substitute Bradley Adomako received the ball 35 yard out form goal turned and rifled the ball into the bottom corner sealing the victory for the travelling away team. The pick of the day out of the goals on show and a very convincing away performance. FSA PRO now turn their attention towards Kinetic again in Fridays ECFA CAT 1 League fixture.
