FSA Pro London Through To Round 5 After Tough Game Vs SCA

FSA Pro London are through to the next round in the ECFA Knockout Trophy after coming back from 1-0 down with a brilliant second half performance.

It was a top of the table clash in round 4 as FSA Pro London took on Soccer Chance Academy, both teams currently sit undefeated in the respective CAT 1 leagues. SCA started much the stronger team and dominated the first 15 minutes as they attacked each wing with a very direct approach. The opening goal came on 17 minutes as a cross was deflected by defender Redor Omar into the top corner of his own net, leaving goalkeeper Thierri Manley no chance. A change of shape brought FSA PRO London back into the game and they immediately looked more comfortable at the back. The first half passed without any further chances for both team as the the referee whistled the end of a very scrappy 45 minutes.

FSA PRO started the half much brighter and immediately created 2-3 half chances but failed to test the SCA keeper. As the hour mark came so did the equaliser, a fantastic free kick from Lee Quincey was met by a bullet header from centre back and captain, Evan Kelly, which sparked life into FSA. Cameron Ashia was brought down on the edge of the 18 yard box after a darting run and he himself produced a clever, low bending free kick to give FSA a 2-1 lead. It was nearly 3 goals in 10 minutes as FSA were awarded a penalty with 20 minutes to go, Lee Quincey picked up the ball only to be denied by a low save from the SCA goalkeeper. Minutes later it was game over as another whipped freekick was dropped by the goalkeeper and pounced on by Evan Kelly who scored his second of the game and gave FSA some breathing space. The final 15 minutes brought chances for both teams but no goas. FSA PRO London progress to the 5th round after a brilliant 45 minutes.
