Back To Winning Ways For FSA Pro London

It was back to winning ways on FSA Pro's return to league action in the ECFA CAT 2 as a hard fought result has seen FSA return to the top of the table.

Kinetic Academy travelled to FSA PRO London and proved a difficult challenge as they started with a high pace, moving the ball well and being aggressive in their passing. FSA were caught a little cold by this but showed resilience and kept the opposition at bay. Kinetic did have the first chance to open the scoring with a long pass met by a well timed volley, hitting the post and rebounding away. It was minutes later and FSA were on the attack, after defending an attack, Karim Mellar played a long pass into George Hughes who drove down the left wing, an attempted cross found its way to Henry Sisarello who managed to win the ball and poke it into the bottom corner to give FSA the lead.

After conceding, Kinetic’s confidence started to fall and their fast paced passing was no longer working. FSA took control of the game and started to look dangerous in possession. Getting into the attacking third often but failing to find the final pass. A free kick given to FSA provided another chance to double their lead which they took after the first initial header was deflected down into the 6 yard box, Tom Meredith was on hand to tap the ball over the line despite the kinetics goalkeepers best efforts, FSA had managed to score and increase their lead. Kinetic's response was to go full out for the reminder of the half and committing men forward created problems for the FSA defence which held firm until the 45th minute. A deflected cross looped up and over FSA keeper Ciaran Rough at the near post and ended up rolling into the net. The deficit was halved on the stroke of half time and FSA led 2-1

The second half was more of a stale mate with changes from both sides nullifying the other. Neither goalkeeper had saves to make and most of the play was done in the midfield. Both teams had opportunities to cause damage but mis timed passes and a let down in decision making stopped either team making any real threats. The game finished as it was at half time with FSA PRO taking all three points and a hard fought victory of local rivals.

FSA PRO London now look to Friday's Cat Two game against Level 7 to extend their lead at the top of the table.
