Goal: Sonny Cooper

FAB started brightly, sending an early long ball over the top towards the FSA backline, but it was swiftly dealt with by the defence.

The opening stages were evenly contested, with both sides trading attacks and creating half-chances as they looked to establish control.

As the game settled, FSA began to dominate possession, creating a flurry of chances and pushing FAB onto the back foot. FAB responded with a few efforts of their own, but FSA looked the more likely to score.

A perfectly weighted ball from JB found Sonny Cooper, who took a strong touch towards goal before calmly slotting into the bottom left corner. A composed finish for Sonny’s seventh goal of the season.

Just a few minutes later, FAB were forced into an early change as their striker came off injured, prompting a switch to a 4-3-3 formation. The adjustment seemed to benefit FAB, who began to regain some control after falling behind. The remainder of the half opened up once again, with both sides exchanging attacks.

FAB won a free kick in a dangerous position and, after the initial effort was deflected for a corner, the resulting delivery was recycled by FAB’s No.10. His cross found the captain unmarked in the box, who headed home to level the score just before the break.

Half-Time: FAB Academy 1–1 FSA PRO London

FAB came out strongly after the interval and were rewarded early in the half. A floated free kick caught the FSA keeper off guard, looping over him and into the empty net to give FAB the lead.

An unfortunate injury to the FSA goalkeeper later in the half caused a lengthy stoppage and forced several tactical reshuffles. Despite the disruption, FSA regrouped well and began to build pressure again, pushing forward in search of an equaliser.

As the game entered the final ten minutes, play remained evenly balanced. FSA created several late opportunities but were unable to truly test the FAB keeper.

A competitive and hard-fought contest that could have gone either way, but FAB’s set-piece quality proved the difference on the day.
