FSA PRO Leicester Crash Out Of Cup

Our FSA Leicester squad crash out the cup after a disappointing display against the Carl Baker Academy.

On the day FSA had two CAT 1 fixtures, one League and one Cup. We stretched our squad to four fill the fixtures, however it proved just a step to far for our boys. Carl Baker came with a clear game plan, and that was to be direct and play up to their front 2 who coursed FSA troubles in the air all afternoon.

After 25 minutes it was 1-1, after 2 goals coming from set pieces. However, 10 minutes later FSA switched of and didn't recover into the box and their number 10 was there to tap home the low cross. FSA went into the break knowing that they needed to give more, and their application was know where near the standards they had set for themselves throughout the season.

The second half performance was much better, however Carl Baker had something to defend and credit to them they did so. FSA dominated the half but after a lapse in concentration we conceded a penalty to make it 3-1. FSA hit back and made it 3-2 through Joe Kerins, but after creating a number of chances they didn’t get the equaliser and the full time whistle blew ending a disappointing day for FSA.

Full focus will now be on the league, and wining that, therefore progressing to the CAT 1 National Knockout Cup.
