FSA PRO Leicester maintain their 100% winning run in the ECFA CAT 1 as they take all 3 points from PDA Northampton.
FSA Pro faced their toughest test yet as they took on Pro Direct Academy Northampton and the PDA game plan was clear from the get go. PDA turned up with a very physical game plan and aggressive pressing from the front, and to go direct to their front 3. FSA PRO Quickly realised it would be a different type of game, and would have to dig deep defensively and stay switch on throughout the 90 minutes. The first goal of the game came on the 9 minute as FSA captain Charley Kilburn latched onto the end of a Joseph Opoku free kick making it 1-0, Just before half time, FSA PRO took a 2-0 lead as Aaron Nuttall finished of a strong bit of play by Will Warren. However, the game was far from over and FSA knew they had to step up their levels again in the second half.
FSA PRO started the second half strong and were rewarded with a penalty within minutes after the restart. Aaron Nuttall was brought down in the box and converted the penalty from 12 yards. PDA didn’t go down without a fight and got a goal back on the 75 minute mark, however FSA managed the game in a professional manner and came away with all 3 points making it 6 wins from 6 in the ECFA Cat One.
