FSA PRO London travelled to last seasons league winners Worthing FC in the opening game of season, looking to set the tone of a new cat 1 campaign.
FSA PRO London are looking to get there hands back on the the cat 1 title and a tough trip away was exactly the challenge needed. The game was open right from the start with both teams battling hard for good possession and early chances fell to both team, in which neither could take the lead. The game had an edge to it as the weather on the south coast playing a part in the speed of the game. FSA PRO London took the lead on 30 minutes as Bradley Adomako slipped past the high defence line and smashed it past the Worthing goalkeeper to make it 1-0. Worthing responded well and controlled a 10 minute period, with FSA goalkeeper Monty making a crucial 1v1 brace save and pushing a few long shots away from goal. Worthing drew level 5 minutes before half time making the game even at the break.
FSA started the second half stronger as they stared to control the ball and create numerous chances. It was great work again from Bradley Adomako down the right wing who’s looping cross found Sean Michael at the back post who headed home to give FSA a deserves 2-1 lead. The game was wrapped up as substitute Mo Benzahi took the ball past the last defender and great high finish made it 3-1 with 10 minutes to play. Worthing ended the game with a few good chances but failed to put late pressure on the game and FSA celebrated an opening 3 points against a brave and physical Worthing.
